This summer will be my summer of jumpsuits! O.k, maybe not really but I guess I'm feeling that way since I've acquired 2 vintage jumpsuits this week. This is the first one, from the Etsy shop Alameda Vintage based in LA. It's a structured cotton, with a ditsy print floral which is so so cute when you see it up close (unfortunately my close up pics turned out really dark so I couldn't post them, but fear not, I'll be sporting this bad boy again this summer). The trick to finding a good jumpsuit is making sure that you're staying away from the super 90's prints and structures. Like bold prints can be a little scary with so much material or something with sleeves, breast pockets and shoulder pads can definitely put you in the dynasty category, NOT GOOD . But other than that, jumpsuits are so fun!! As for my weekend plans, I have another photo shoot lined up with my girls from Dusty Rose Vintage , Wild as a Mink , and Showgirl Godzilla . In a perfect world, the thought of prom updo's wouldn't include tight ringlets, slicked side swept part, or tiara's. But alas, it's hard to deviate from the standards that society has built up all these years. Since I haven't done a hair post in a while {so sorry} I thought I'd put together some cool up do's that have been popping up on the red carpet these days. I've been having the worst luck with my outfit shots lately that I can't even bring myself to post them. I'm not sure if it's due to the weather or a lack of time so they all seem rushed but whatever it is, it's got to stop! I never tried it on then because it seemed like it would be too big and well, I already had a bag full of goodies to play with anyways. But having this past shoot, I said, I need to try this on. Here it is, another feature of What to Wear...! As you know I attended Coachella last week and made sure to take some pictures of some stylish ladies. I wasn't planning on having it laid out like this, but it turns out that girls like to dress in pairs. All of the below were friends that just so happen to have matching outfits. It's kind of cute, yes? The hats are both adorable and functional to stay cool in the desert heat. The girl on the left is wearing cute floral shorts which I've been looking for forever.                Although I don't recommend wearing a romper when you're facing a port-a-potty situation, this girl looked super cute. Just an update from yesterday's outing. As I had mentioned, I had lunch with Nickie , Nikka , and Dusty Rose Vintage . We then headed to the Calvacade in Greenpoint where we enjoyed some beers on their rooftop, in the sun. It was a fabulous day. By then, it was just down to Nickie and I, so we made our way to a BBQ that a friend was having, ended up making the mistake of not eating and without realizing it skipped out on dinner all together in exchange for more beer. And of course we didn't stop there. After leaving the Upper East side to make our way to down to Brooklyn,we made a little pit stop at the Bell House which was mistake number 2, this place has a tendency to suck you in. It's like time just freezes and then all of a sudden it's 4am and the place is closing. Well, the fact that it's so close to home is kind of nice at this point, and the walk is definitely needed.
