Juggling work, a blog, friends, family, sometimes you kind of need to put things in check and prioritize the important things first. *Of course, I already made my purchases so you won't be trampling on anything I had my eye on. hehe.

September brought on a few good reads, mostly because I managed to take a trip up to my parent's house where books float through the hands of my Dad, Mom, Sister to Sis-in-law, then me. It might also be the fact that during these trips, I'm travelling for at least a few hours each way and take the opportunity to read instead of listening to music. Wait, maybe people do both, listen to music while reading? Hmm, I don't think I could manage that as I get way into both (seperately). K, I don't know where this is going so let's just get on with what I've read this month: Shanghai Girls by Lisa See: This book did to me as Memoirs of a Geisha did, kind of depressed me but I wanted to keep reading. The difference is that this time I was ready for it. When I read Memoirs, I had to put it down as it brought on such a strong emotion that I didn't quite like. Like I said, I REALLY get into books. So it's been about a week since I talked about getting my butt in gear and so far it's been pretty good. I thought i'd be more productive over the weekend but all I did was sleep ( 24 hours!) So when Sunday night crawled around I made sure to make up for some very lost productivity time. I cleaned my apartment, and switched over all of my Summer clothes to Fall, took pictures for my blog shop , and started posting. I've still been going to the gym, but not on weekends since my gym is closed and I even started knitting again, to ( hopefully) re-open my etsy shop. If you've followed this blog long enough, you'll know that i love playing around with colored tights. I think they just add that little finishing element to any outfit. You can either playit safe by sticking to neutrals or go all out crazy with wild colors. Your pick. When I heard about the Florida based company, Welovecolors,  I was litterally in awe at how many colors one can offer in a solid opaque tight (50 to be exact). My first pair of theirs was the nylon/lycra microfiber tight and I could tell just by the touch that these were going to be comfy. As you can probably guess, it's raining in New York. I had to resort to taking pictures indoors and was thinking to myself, now how can I make these look decent? I used picnik to edit them which I NEVER do. The pictures you see when i'm outdoors are never edited or touched up. Now that I say that, maybe I should probably stop being lazy and actually pay attention to these details. Well, this jacket is one of my beloved Mayle pieces. I don't think I'll ever be able to give it up as it's such a classic jacket. It's funny that I don't wear it more often.
