Best of's for 2009 pt.2- skirts

For the second part of this 5 part feature of my best outfits of 2009, I give you the skirt. Yes, it would be simpler to throw on a dress and get on with your life but a skirt is much more complex than that. It requires a mate for it to be paired with and possibly a few accessories like tights and a belt. A little more effort but when you get it right, you're feeling pretty darn great.

Alright I probably said this with my last feature post but this was NOT easy. The good thing is that I can use other outfits not posted here for my upcoming features so there's plenty to see. I wanted to try and post outfits that you might not have caught since they were posted on chictopia before this blog was born. I've linked the original posts with every outfit if your interested. Thank you so much for the amazing feedback everyone. It's honestly the greatest thing ever hearing how I you get inspired just by seeing one of my outfits. I just hope I can keep you all entertained enough to keep coming back. I'll have to think of some great things for the new year. See,with each and every email and comment I  receive I feel like stepping it up just a tad more than the previous day. I really do feel like this is a two-way street. So thank you.

Bleu et Pêche

{Blue & Peach} Yes, I'm still taking outfit pictures in my backyard. We were planning on moving this weekend but midway throught he week we found out that the tenant that is curerntly in the spot we're moving into wasn't planning on getting out until Monday. Who does that? Personally, I much rather move over the weekend than leaving it until a Monday but I guess not everyone is on a Monday to Friday schedule. So, instead I spent Saturday packing away, and Sunday went into the city with my man and strolled through Central Park, and stopped into the Met for a quick look. We had a delicious lunch at Candle cafe , another amazing vegan place in the city. This outfit is from last week but I didn't have time to post it until now. I like this color combination and the tights add a little texture since both top and skirt are solid. I usually like to mix it up with a least one print but this is keeping it a little more simple.
