A real vacation day
Today was my first day of sleeping in, although that was only until 9am. I've been so crazy busy in the past few days that I've hardly had time to even think of an outfit. I've been wearing my leggings, t-shirt and cardigan so much that my sister has even started mocking me.
That said, today I thought I'd make an effort and pull something together. Now, keep in mind that I usually don't pack alot (enough) since I hate having to check my bag at the airport. This time, I did lug a huge suitcase across the border but I swear it barely had anything for me. It was filled with gifts for friends/family, and some clothing I've decided to bring home to my sister.
So looking in my guest room closet, I found a few things that I had either inherited from my sister (this dress), or left here from last time I visited (vest & shoes) and even some things that I've acquired in the last few days on my value village hunt (cardigan & scarf). Together it makes for a cozy, dressy outfit perfect for either running errands with mom, or just hanging in and baking christmas cookies.
Here are the culprits that have been keeping me away from the blogosphere:
(I had to outfit them in cute little "Brooklyn" shirts so they'd remember their aunt that lives so far away!)
