Knit More Blog less

I've been thinking alot lately on what makes me happy. Of course, there's friends and family and warm weather and all of that stuff but I think what I was looking for is something that was missing. When Practical Princess emailed me the other day about making a headband for her, I was right on it. I found a beautiful lavender yarn and got out my bamboo needles and started knitting. I finished it so quickly that I amazed myself. And that is when it hit me, I feel happy when I'm creative, when i'm doing something with my hands, and making something unique for someone to enjoy.
Naturally, I thought I need to do this more. But when? I'm already at a job that I love during the day, meet up with friends as much as I can, and keep up with life stuff. What its come down to is spend less time on the internet. I've been really trying to get back to everyone who comments on my blog, but then fell a day behind, then 2 days, now I'm about a week behind. I found that I spent so much time trying to respond to show my appreciation to everyone that visits this blog that I pushed my own needs aside. Hmm, something that follows me in my real life as well.
I'm still going to be posting, I don't think that'll ever change since it's now in my daily routine of getting up, getting dressed, having breakfast, taking outfit pics, and out the door. I just won't be around so much to let you all know how special your emails and comments make me feel. I have such loyal readers that I could now call alot of you my friends. I'm so grateful to have made friendships through this blog. Not something I planned out when I started but gradually happened over time. (i can't wait to meet some of you next month, or really wish i could just pop by for coffee with those of you that can't make it!).
I'll definitely be sharing with you the projects that I'm working on, maybe showing a little more of my crafty side???

Wow, look at me getting all personal with you. I know this doesn't happen alot so if you're just reading my blog for the first time, don't worry, I usually stick to the outfit details or my daily outings with a hair post thrown in for good measure!
