No Bumpit necessary

A co-worker asked me today if I was wearing a Bumpit. I didn't know if I should take it as an insult or a compliment? Meaning that I did such a good job that it looks like I enlisted the help of a half moon device to recreate this mini bouffant?







In any case, this hairstyle is best when done on semi-dirty hair which was perfect considering I chose a few extra minutes of sleeping in instead of washing my hair this morning. Just a little dry shampoo and some teasing and voila, a bumpit wannabe hairstyle.

My dress is the same one that I wore at the Aquarium. I'm happy to have gotten better pictures of it here and properly styled up. It's very reminiscent of the 60's and maybe that's where the whole bouffant look came from. I added some vintage touches like my shoes and handbag. I really wish I could've forgone the tights but alas, its way to early to even start thinking about that.

{Blue & Peach} Yes, I'm still taking outfit pictures in my backyard. We were planning on moving this weekend but midway throught he week we found out that the tenant that is curerntly in the spot we're moving into wasn't planning on getting out until Monday. Who does that? Personally, I much rather move over the weekend than leaving it until a Monday but I guess not everyone is on a Monday to Friday schedule. So, instead I spent Saturday packing away, and Sunday went into the city with my man and strolled through Central Park, and stopped into the Met for a quick look. We had a delicious lunch at Candle cafe , another amazing vegan place in the city. This outfit is from last week but I didn't have time to post it until now. I like this color combination and the tights add a little texture since both top and skirt are solid. I usually like to mix it up with a least one print but this is keeping it a little more simple.
