Pink Pleats

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I flew back from Vancouver on Friday, loosing 3 hours to the time zone so my whole day was a write off. I got in pretty late after having to take the train and then subway all the way to Brooklyn. Feeling pretty beat and not having any outfit to post, I ended up catching up on alot of blogs that I so dearly missed! Saturday was Nickie and I's friendship anniversary! Yup, one year ago yesterday, Nickie and I met up in Williamsburg, went shopping and then had some drinks until the wee hours. So to commemorate the day we did it all over again! The night turned out to be super fun and I can't wait to read up on her latest Weekend rewind. This is also the one year mark for this blog. Last year at this time I decided i'd do more outfit posts and what not, it's been a crazy one and I'm really grateful for all of you guys and gals that come back everyday to read up on my little ...

The Cool Kids

Image
O.k, I'm going to try to explain this as clearly as possible without getting anybody all riled up. This outfit I'm wearing today? Well, I kind of feel like one of the cool kids. You know... the ones NOT wearing anything of color. There's nothing girly, feminine about it either. Isn't that on trend right now? There's nothing particularly wrong with this look, I even got a few compliments from strangers today, (including a cute boy working at Trader Joes) but half way through the day I find myself thinking, I wish I was wearing a dress (or sk...

Drowning in Vintage

Image
Yesterday was my Halloween costume shopping with Pamela (from Market Publique ) day. Nickie and I met her in Williamsburg where we proceeded to hit up what seemed like every vintage store possible. Of course we couldn't do them all as Williamsburg is the mecca of vintage shopping but we sure made a dent. Even though I was concentrated on only shopping for my halloween costume, I managed to buy 2 pairs of boots and a skirt (which I bargained down to $10 from $20). Oh and I did find some items for my costume, now I have the tedious task of putting it all together. My outfit consisted of so many layers that I didn't even need a jacket. I was excited that the weather was a crisp 65 degrees and sunny, the perfect Satuday shopping weather if you ask me. My hair was inspired by some of my fave bloggers trying out the Alexander Wang SS09 ( i think?) side braid. Of course my hair isn't as long as say, Delightfully Tacky's so I had to enlist the help of a few clip-in extensions....
