Lady Gaga Goes Red on the Cover of 'Rolling Stone'

Image
If you haven't gone red yet, you're clearly missing out on Hollywood's hottest—and reddest—trend.   Lady Gaga   is the latest in a slew of celebrities to go to the red side. Although, unlike the others, this one was semi-permanent, fleeting even.   For the latest cover of   Rolling Stone , the superstar dyed her locks a pale crimson and brought back her famous hair bow. Of course, she's scantily clad in a lace bra, but compared to her past few covers, it's downright normal!   We're digging the look and wouldn't mind it sticking around for a while. Hands up if you feel the same!

Lady Gaga Now 'Hates' Her Epic 'Telephone' Music Video

Image
Lady Gaga   and   Beyonce 's 10-minute "Telephone" music video made huge headlines back in 2010, but Gaga can't even bring herself to watch it anymore. That was SO last year. She said: "I can't even watch the 'Telephone' video, I hate it so much. Beyonce and I are great together. But there are so many f***ing idea in that video and all I see in that video is my brain throbbing with ideas and I wish I had edited it myself a little bit more." Gaga's now loving the "Alejandro" video, even though she knows it's not a fan favorite. She told Britain's   Time Out   magazine: "It's funny because I know a lot of kids didn't like the 'Alejandro' video, but that was my favorite of all my videos. 'Alejandro' isn't a busy video. But maybe that's my own monster. People love the chaos in my brain, but I'm terrified of it."

Super Catchy Tune: Lady Gaga's 'The Edge of Glory'

Image
Leave it to   Lady Gaga   to hit No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 without really trying. A few weeks ago, Gaga released the anthemic number "The Edge of Glory" as a promotional single to pump fans up over the release of   Born This Way , her second full-length studio album. But the track proved so popular the powers that be released it as the third official single from the album—and it subsequently debuted in the top 3. Because Gaga's got it like that. So what is it about this track that people love so much? Well, "Edge of Glory" epitomizes the Springsteen-esque power balladry that pops up all over Born This Way , with a familiar belt-it-out chorus that'll find favor with anyone who loved listening to the radio late '80s. It even features a saxophone solo by Clarence Clemons of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band. It's also one of Gaga's personal favorites on the album. In an interview with Google, she explained, "[My] grandpa died about fiv...

Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake Were Shy About Asking Lady Gaga to Do '3-Way'

Image
You would think   Andy Samberg   and   Justin Timberlake   would be over their skiddishness by now. After working together on the hugely popular "D--- in a Box" and nabbing   Susan Sarandon   and   Patricia Clarkson   to guest star in the follow-up, "Motherlovers," the two were still shy about asking   Lady Gaga  to appear in their latest video for "3-Way." The Digital Short was a highlight on   Saturday Night Live   over the weekend, but Gaga revealed to   Detroit radio show  Mojo in the Morning   that Andy and J.T. were shy in asking her to do the skit. "Justin was like, 'Umm so umm, we have a skit idea and umm, well, I’m not really good at this I’ll have Andy tell you.' Then Andy came and was like, 'Well, umm bluh blah we have this skit idea.' "Then they both came in finally and they told me the story and I’m like, ‘Guys I get it.’ They’re like, 'We really like each other.'" Gaga, who revealed in the interview...

Lady Gaga's New Album Will Dominate, Despite Shaky Critical Response

Image
In the months of promotion leading up to the release of   Lady Gaga 's second full-length album, the pop superstar repeatedly insisted that   Born This Way   would be nothing short of epic: “The album is my absolute greatest work I’ve ever done and I’m so excited about it,” she told   RWD Magazine . Gaga was confident that the album—relentlessly dominated with messages of self-acceptance—would change the world. The critics seem to think otherwise, however, with several music editors noting that Gaga may have sacrificed musical innovation for the sake of her message.   James Reed of the   Boston Globe   called it "the most deflated moment in pop music this year," noting, "the songwriting feels thin, especially when buried under the layers of bombast." Randall Roberts of the   LA Times   echoed those sentiments, writing, "If Gaga had only spent as much time on pushing musical boundaries as she has social ones, "Born This Way" would have been a ...
