"The Book of Mormon" leads the full winner list of 2011 Tony Awards. The religious satire musical rakes in nine prizes out of 14 nominations, beating the likes of "Anything Goes" and even "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" which stars Daniel Radcliffe.  The musical grabs Best Musical award as well as Scenic Design of a Musical trophy. It also helps Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone bag Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score (Music and/or Lyrics) Written for the Theater kudos. Racing behind "The Book of Mormon" is "War Horse" with five awards, including Best Play. The play, which is based on the book of the same name, also snatches Best Lighting Design of a Play, Sound Design of a Play, and Direction of a Play trophies. Daniel Radcliffe delivered a musical performance during 2011 Tony Awards. Alongside his "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" cast members, the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II" star took the stage and showed his singing and dancing prowess by performing "Brotherhood of Man". Singing the main part, Radcliffe was front and center at the 65th annual Tony Awards. The quick-paced number, in which John Larroquette also took part, offered a four-minute memorable performance for the audience. Hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, 2011 Tony Awards took place on Sunday, June 12 at the Beacon Theater and aired live on CBS. During the event, most of the prizes were presented to "The Book of Mormon" which led the full winner list with nine awards.

Another TV spot for " Transformers: Dark of the Moon " has just been unleashed. Among other new scenes, this new video offers the first look at a new four-legged robot running amok on the street, crashing an auto.   The third " Transformers " film centers its story on Sam Witwicky. When a mysterious event from Earth's past erupts into the present day, it threatens to bring a war to Earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save the people.   Shia LaBeouf   returns to this movie and stars as the male main character, with   Rosie Huntington-Whiteley   portraying Sam's new love interest Carly. The action science fiction pic is going to open in 2-D and 3-D theaters across the United States later this month, on June 29 to be exact.

Since Tom Hardy was officially cast as Bane in "The Dark Knight Rises", fans have been speculating about how Batman and Bane will fight. In its report, Comic Book Movies claims to obtain a major plot for the film from "a completely reliable source".  According to CBM, [SPOILER ALERT!] "Bruce Wayne/Batman & Bane will certainly clash hard in The Dark KnightRises." The site further detailed, "During their first fight against one-another will, Bane WILL break Batman's back!"  In this sequel for "The Dark Knight", Christian Bale reprises his role as Bruce Wayne. New cast members include Anne Hathaway who will portray Selina Kyle. Christopher Nolanreturns as a helmer in this film, which is due July 20, 2012 in the U.S.

Sony has sent over four clips from director Jake Kasdan’s ( Walk Hard )  Bad  Teacher .  Starring Cameron Diaz, Justin Timberlake, Lucy Punch, John Michael Higgins, and Jason Segel, the film’s about a foul-mouthed, ruthless, and inappropriate teacher (Diaz) and what she’s willing to do to get out of her day job. While Diaz movies have definitely been hit or miss for the last few years, I think  Bad Teacher  looks really funny.  In addition, I think Timberlake and Segel are great, so I’m really hoping this one is worth our time.  Watch the clips after the jump and look for interviews with the cast very soon. Apparently the world needs more Angelina Jolie action movies. Sony has officially started moving forward with a sequel to last year’s Jolie-starred action flick  Salt . Deadline now reports that Sony has set the first film’s screenwriter, Kurt Wimmer, to start working on a script. Jolie is keen to reprise her role from the first flick, though director Phillip Noyce turned down the offer to return. A follow-up has been rumored since last August, after  Salt  took in almost $300 million worldwide. While reviews were mixed to positive, one can’t deny Jolie’s international draw (did anyone from America actually see  The Tourist ?). No word on how soon the sequel will go into production, but we’ll know more once Wimmer turns in his first draft of the screenplay.
