A good day for casual

I took these pictures using my new handy remote, thanks to my dad's smart thinking this christmas. I still need to get used to it but it sure is alot less stressful than pressing the self-timer, running to my spot, then making sure I'm ready( nipped and tucked) and then smiling all in ten seconds. So after two delayed flights, waiting for the train in New Jersey, then cabbing it to Brooklyn from Penn station because I was too exhausted to take the subway, last night was definitely an early one. The good thing is that I have today off to get all the little things done, like get some food, maybe unpack, and do a little alterations from my new thrifted finds. Nothing too exciting. As I made my way to Trader Joe's, I made a quick stop at Urban Outfitters, which I hadn't been in ages ( I swear). I found what I think is going to be my NYE outfit, just a hint, it involves leopard print. We'll see. I'm still debating on whether I want a crazy headpiece for the night whi...

Navy on my mind

Today I had the most productive day ever. Let me just clear up that I had the day off and it did not involve sleeping in and staying in my pj's. Mel's To Do List Trader Joe's Laundry Beacon's closet drop off Update Etsy Christmas Shopping Attend: Vegan baking with Babycakes I made it to Trader Joes bright and early before they got crazy busy as the line ups are usually wrapped around the store. It actually took me longer to get there than to pick up all of my items and make it through the cashier. I have a pretty set grocery list for TJ's so I know exactly what I'm looking for and where to find it. I quickly dropped everything at home and then was on my way to listen to a discussion about vegan baking from the owner and chef at Babycakes , Erin McKenna. She brought up some really good advice and tips on what to use as egg, sugar, and flour replacers as her bakery is all vegan, mostly gluten/soy free pastries.
