What to Wear...to a music festival

Image
Here it is, another feature of What to Wear...! As you know I attended Coachella last week and made sure to take some pictures of some stylish ladies. I wasn't planning on having it laid out like this, but it turns out that girls like to dress in pairs. All of the below were friends that just so happen to have matching outfits. It's kind of cute, yes? The hats are both adorable and functional to stay cool in the desert heat. The girl on the left is wearing cute floral shorts which I've been looking for forever.                Although I don't recommend wearing a romper when you're facing a port-a-potty situation, this girl looked super cute. These two are roomates and there outfits were coordinated before hand. Pretty sweet indeed.                   These girls really stood out from a sea of neon bikini tops and jean shorts. Their eth...

Coachella: La fin + une gagnante (a winner)

Finally, my last post on Coachella! Are you happy?sad? nostalgic? Wait, that would be me.  Well on our third day we went pretty casual in attire but a little hardcore with the bands. Since it was our last day we really wanted to take it all in , or something. For our casual day attire, we both went with jean shorts, flowy cotton top, and boots. I think this outfit was mostly just "practical" as by the third day we were kind of dissapointed with the lack of fashionistas. For the most part, it was all about bikini tops and cutoffs, but that's not really my thing, ever, so this was a good alternative! Outfit: Shorts}Volcom diy shorts Top}kensiegirl Scarf (worn as headband )}Vintage via Value Village Boots}Aldo Sunglasses}Target And the last round of pictures. Garbage can numero dos Soft serve lemonade. I'm hoping to find this in nyc . Florence and the Machine Charlotte Gainsbourg The crowd for Phoenix. We stuck to the back . The end. We also saw One EskimO, Spoon and Pav...

Coachella: Au commencement

Image
Oh where do I even begin? It's so hard to recap such a monumental* weekend that I guess anywhere will do. On Day One of Coachella we took it easy. And by easy I mean, got our swimsuits on and headed for the pool for a little R & R in the sun. We slowly took our time getting ready for the day ahead after we felt that we had a good enough leasure time by the pool. We packed it into the car and made our way to the polo grounds where the event took place. Huge mistake. Apparently EVERYONE gets there late and here we were thinking that we were clever by missing the morning traffic. In the car with nothing else to do but take some pics Coachella traffic on Day 1, Friday . Since traffic was at a stand still and we knew that we were on a time crunch to catch She & Him play, Christina and I got out of the car and walked to the venue while her hubs, bless his heart, sat in traffic and met us at the venue much much later. Some lovely girls took our picture on the way there. (more on...

A sunny quickie

Just a really quick post before I get to day 3 of coachella!! Ahh! It's been such a great time and I have so many pictures to show you all but unfortunately I don't have the means to get them all on Christina's laptop that she's so generously letting me use right now. So here's just a few taken with her camera.... These were taken on our arrival on Thursday. After a 8 hour roadtrip from Nevada to the Palm Desert to be more accurate. We got out and quickly decided to take a walk around the villas from where we're staying. You know, checkout the pool, hot tub, restaurant scenes. I decided it was the perfect time to sport one of my rompers as I wasn't planning on wearing them at Coachella ( port-a-potty's = get out of there fast). So far, the weather has been gorgeous, the days have been filled with people watching and listening to some great bands. Well, more to come, I promise!  Outfit: Romper}Brooklyn Industries (thrifted) Bag}Vintage via Value Village S...
