{My closet} No outfit post for you today since i've been in Pj's for most of it. But I am happy to say that I've finally updated my blog shop ( Shop my Closet ) with new items! Some of the dresses are actually a few faves but I feel like things just have to go so I'm going to be strong and hope that someone snatches them up before I change my mind! Today I took a cue from this post that I did some few weeks ago about what to wear while running errands. I didn't feel like dressing up, nor doing my hair so I ended up looking like a tomboy. But that said, I really like pairing some dark jeans with ivory and navy's as I feel like you can never go wrong with dark denim. This weekend the weather was amazing here in nyc. The warmest yet. I took advantage of it with brunch and a photoshoot yesterday and some shopping with Nickie today. I also cleaned my apartment, which was so overdue and took some pictures of new headbands that I'll be adding to etsy tonight. I'm keeping it short since I'm in the middle of baking some nut butter cookies and it's not going to well. They're just crumbling to the touch instead on being hard and crunchy. Just a sneak peak at what is to come in my etsy shop. I was really excited about them, especially at how my first try at a lion came out. I think he's my fave! I went with some more spring like colors this round. Taking these pictures, I kind of felt like Drew Barrymore in Never Been Kissed, before she gets her makeover and lives at home and makes decorative pillows. I know these past few weeks I've been talking about nothing else than how busy I've been. I think it's mostly because I've never ever been this busy in my life. I've always managed to have enough "me" time scheduled in order to keep me sane. I think when we hit 2010, all of that changed. It has been good in a way but I still need to come to a balance of work and down time. But now I feel a little sigh of relief since I've accomplished a few things over the weekend and can start feeling a little normal. I've updated my Etsy with a bunch of new things. A turban style headband! I wanted something that would replicate the look of a turban without actually being one. I came up with this super wide nubbly knit headband in three different colors. I'm going to be quite the busy bee these upcoming weeks. I realize that I rarely share what's going on in my life and I'll try to rectify that as to keep you all in the loop (especially since my family reads this on the regular and I'm sure they wonder what I'm up to). I had the last two nights to do some random housework, like dishes, groceries and laundry. I've also been trying to keep up with two of my favorite tv shows right now, Dexter and Mad Men but not having cable means waiting to download which keeps me a little behind. Mel's (that's me) life update : I've updated my little Etsy shop with two more items. I'm slowly working on a few other items that should be posted by next week. I know I haven't really been going into details of my life in my recent posts and that's basically just a time issue. After going through picnik to upload and make my pictures "prettier" I just want to post them and go to bed. So I decided to let you all know what I've been up to recently: Last night I randomly woke up at 4am and could not get back to sleep. So I checked some emails only to find out that photobucket has yet again disabled my account!AGGGGHHHHHH!! I'm so fed up with this site that I will proceed to switch over all of my photobucket posts to be regular blogspot pictures.
