Happy Birthday!I am so blessed to have such a wonderful Mother. She has always been there for me through good times, bad times, rebellious stages and break-ups. I couldn't ask for a better friend & mentor.Love you Mom!!

Today is my birthday. I'll share with you some pictures of little me. Some cute. Some not-so-cute. And well, let's just skip over the really-not-cute ones. And on to grad and prom ones (I know you were curious). And newer ones. I'm 29 years old today and well, I wish I had words of wisdom to pass on to you but I don't. I'm still trying to figure out life and where i'm supposed to be or what I'm supposed to be doing. I'm sorry to tell you that it doesn't get any easier or clearer. I've always just done what I've wanted to and it seemed to have worked out for me so far. I will say that I have met some incredible people along the way and cannot be more thankful for them and my family. Now excuse me while I go get ready for a day of shopping and lunch with some friends. A perfect way to spend a birthday if you ask me.

So you're probably wondering whats with the sweater? Well, I acquired it over the Christmas break through my aunt who caught on to the fact that I love everything vintage. You see, this sweater belonged to my grandmother and today is her birthday. She bought this sweater in 1950, not too long after she got married, which basically means she was much younger than I am now when she bought it but thats besides the point . I thought I'd do a little post in her honor. I don't see my relatives half as much as I'd like to but I'm glad that they can keep track of what I'm up to through this blog. This post will be as rushed as the taking of these pictures this morning. To counter-act yesterday's outfit, I did go very girly today. I love the ditsy print of this dress and the fact that my purple tights matched perfectly. Just the sort of outfit a girl needs when she's feeling unispired. Tonight I'm heading over to the boyfriend's house, I haven't seen him in forever due to busy schedules so I'm excited about that. I also have been trying to plan an outfit for Nickie's 30 birthday bash !!! It's this Saturday and I think that the theme is leaning on the retro side complete with an Elvis Impersonator. Honestly, she's been planning this for what I think might be a year now, so this is a big day for her!! I can't wait to post pictures and finally decide on what dress to wear!
