ma petite caméra

I've been on a hemming kick lately, mainly because I found myself with alot of longer length dresses and no desire to wear them that length. I thought I could do it but at the end of the day I just feel like a big ol' frump.  So instead, i've done a complete 180 and decided to go short AND wear heels. The ultimate combo into fooling people that you're taller/leaner than you actually are. Why haven't I been doing this sooner? Anywho, a few things to mention with this outfit. This ring was a gift from Spotted Moth . I personally think that every blogger needs one. It's just too cute and I feel like every blogger has a special relationship with their camera, or is that just me? Second, these boots! They're called " Romance " and I know why, I'm already in love with them. The fit is great and the heel is actually something that I can walk in. And in New York, that's saying alot. I think you'll be seeing these quite alot this fall. * Oh and...

With the NY chilly temperatures I had to wear a jacket over this outfit but I couldn't NOT take a picture of the lovely sleeve detail! I even took a back shot to show off the pleating detail. This could possibly be one of my new favorite fall dresses. So things are back on track for me, so naturally things will get a little hectic starting next week. It couldn't very well stay like this now could it? You see, my parents are currently in Italy and my sister has a new baby so i thought that I'd step up to the plate and be the awesome aunt that I am and go help her out. I can't imagine how much a little one changes your life. I'm so far removed from that lifestyle that I take the little things for granted, like showering, eating, sleeping in (or just sleeping in general) so yeah, I think next week I'm definitely going to get a reality ch...

it's a nyc thing

When Nickie posted about her trapper hast, I immedeately remembered that I had one too! I don't wear it all that often but I did get it last year a few months after I moved to nyc. You can find these hats everywhere in the city. You don't even have to venture into a store because vendors are selling them on every street corner. So I was expecting so much snow to yesterday that I was a little dissapointed to see that we only got a few inches. If I go out and check how much of that is still there, i'll probably be extremely dissapointed too. Oh well. I didn't leave my house yesterday as to try and get alot of little projects done, including adding a few more items for sale at Shop Idee's Closet . I wore a fitted sweatshirt and some pleated pants (I just remembered I had them when doing my last post). I was looking to add a scarf to this look when I thought it was time to bust out the hat.  Today i'm heading out to brunch with friends, and then out to Williamsburg...
