Horray! So when I was saying that the Delightful Dozen was back in action, I wasn't lying! Last week you saw me wear Tieka' s skirt and today I give you my version of Elizabeth 's skirt! I received a nice little box from Alaska yesterday and after taking everything out and ohh-ing and ahh-ing over all the goodies, I knew that this skirt would be the first to try. But, I wanted to first check out Elizabeth's take on it before I put a look together. Well I didn't quite have the time to do that but once I got back from work and did a little research, I saw her version was a little different than mine so it all worked out!  I also updated my blog shop . I added about 12 new items, new and vintage! I really need to get some clothing out of here, it's getting a little ridiculous. Aside from Blogger being annoying and taking hours to upload each pic, today is so far, I pretty prodictive one. I've already ran some errands this morning, had lunch, and now getting ready for an afternoon in the city. Yesterday didn't exactly go as planned so I was kind of bummed and didn't want to do anything so I stayed home and had a quiet night. This is what I wore out just bumming around Brooklyn. This is the first romper i've ever bought, I think it was a probably over 2 years ago, when rompers were really hard to find. It'll always hold a special place in my closet. {a black dress} I have alot of thing brewing in my mind these days and believe it or not, outfits aren't one of them. I'm thinking of possibly changing up some features on here and maybe even not posting everyday outfits, but having a feature instead. You see, I really wasn't going to bother posting this outfit but then changed my mind because that's how this blog is: My daily outfit. I don't want to feel obliged to post an outfit that i'm not 100% sure of,you know? Anyways, i think I decided that this dress will make its way to the blog shop this weekend. I don't even know where to start with everything that is happening in my life right now. Everything is just speeding by so fast that i wish it would slow down but then, I'm excited for whats to come. How does one choose?  I  mentioned on Sunday, that I was adding new headbands to my etsy shop. They're now up and look like like the one i'm wearing today. This black one is actually a special request that I finished last night but other more springtime colors are available. I want to thank everybody that takes the time to browse through my etsy and blog shop . The response has been so positive and encouraging that I'm going to continue and update as much as I can. Yoah, Sunday night already? I was having so much fun striking off all the stuff I had on my to-do list! Plus, I'm not done, so the weekend can't be over yet! That's what you get for a gloomy rainy weekend. I think I wasn't as productive as I wanted to be due to alot of napping and catching up on some Amazing Race marathons. I honestly do love that show, maybe i'll elaborate more on that later when they get towards the end. But what I did get done was these two new headbands. They were just a little project of mine that I wanted to try out. Next up I think I'm going to make some more skinny band ones just like these for Springtime weather (if it ever gets here). I'm not really sure why, but I can't get enough of these shorts. They're unflattering and so 80's but I love them. Today I paired them with a floral romper (also from the 80's) to add a little print into my life. The romper has shoulders pads and the bottom part of it is way too long, i'm going to have to hem them up and it's missing a button right at the belly button so I have to fix that as well. Can you tell I didn't even try it on at the store? I couldn't be bothered at the time since I had about a million layers.  I got it over the weekend while out and about with Nickie after the Brooklyn Flea. I really hope to have more weekends like the one that just passed. You know those days where you don't really make plans and just go with whatever come along? Yeah, can't wait. Well, I finally took a night to myself and got so much accomplished. First thing I wanted to do was clean up my apartment and sort through some clothing to put up for sale. Yesterday while searching for my white dress I realized that I have a whole bunch of Spring/Summer clothes tucked away in storage. This happens to me every year and yet I keep forgetting about the changeover. So anyway, once I go through those suitcases of clothes, you can expect another update. I know these past few weeks I've been talking about nothing else than how busy I've been. I think it's mostly because I've never ever been this busy in my life. I've always managed to have enough "me" time scheduled in order to keep me sane. I think when we hit 2010, all of that changed. It has been good in a way but I still need to come to a balance of work and down time. But now I feel a little sigh of relief since I've accomplished a few things over the weekend and can start feeling a little normal. I've updated my Etsy with a bunch of new things. A turban style headband! I wanted something that would replicate the look of a turban without actually being one. I came up with this super wide nubbly knit headband in three different colors.                   Finally! I've added a little color to my life. It left me for a while but last night I worked hard to get this little number hemmed and I can finally wear it! I bought it at Value Village over Thanksgiving weekend and have been meaning to hem it ever since, I chopped off close to 10 inches on this one. I'm also debuting my "jeggings" (jeans+leggings=jegging). So far they're alot warmer than regular leggings which on days like today is quite necessary. But I do think they're kind of a "trendy" piece and not going to stick around for very long. My hair is basically what happens the day after using the hairsetters (see below for tutorial). It's pretty low maintenance which is good because I really love my sleep-in time. I spent some time knitting this week and will soon have a couple new headbands up! Today I'm not planning on going anywhere. I have plenty of things on my to do list and none of them require me to step out that front door. Thank goodness because I just really want sometime to stay home and get to work on a few projects. But, since I had a few spare moments (ok.. procrastinating) I decided to put together a casual weekend outfit that I would wear if I were to leave the house. One of my little projects is my weekly hair post. This week I'm going to show you the super easy steps in achieving these bouncy waves of mine. I didn't post yesterday because my outfit was highly weather inapropriate. I'm not sure what I was thinking, I must've been pretty tired because I looked like I was ready for Spring, Summer even. I'm back today and although I'm not liking ANYTHING in my wardrobe these days, I managed to get dressed and look decent. I'm planning on adding a whole bunch of items on shop idee's closet by the end of the week.  I'm just needing to unload alot of clothing as I'm feeling weighted down by all of the stuff I've accumulated recently.
