I hope everyone had a great Sunday, whether you celebrate Easter or not. I had to run out this morning and get a few more ingredients for our Easter brunch and was pleasantly surprised at how warm it was in Brooklyn. People were walking around in tee-shirts and shorts! Just makes me realize how close we are to getting this kind of weather on a regular basis. So we had a great little brunch with friends. The menu included scrambled tofu, banana bread, roasted potatoes & veggies, fruit pizza, and a lemon tart {the only non-vegan item} After brunch we headed into the city to attend a photo exhibit for two of my friends that completed their photography class. The exhibit was held a Photo Manhattan, where the classes were taken, and showcased the students best 6 photos thaken through the class. I was honored that one of Nickie's photos included myself as the subject {pictured on top left side of picture below} {I forced them to take this picture in front of their artwork, just like ...

As you can probably guess, it's raining in New York. I had to resort to taking pictures indoors and was thinking to myself, now how can I make these look decent? I used picnik to edit them which I NEVER do. The pictures you see when i'm outdoors are never edited or touched up. Now that I say that, maybe I should probably stop being lazy and actually pay attention to these details. Well, this jacket is one of my beloved Mayle pieces. I don't think I'll ever be able to give it up as it's such a classic jacket. It's funny that I don't wear it more often. You'd think that something so classic would find its way into my style blog more often. Oh, I've been updating my blog shop this week and will continue to do so. Make sure you check it out as items seem to sell out fast. (I'm not just saying this). Outfit: jacket}Mayle jeans}Cheap Monday boots}Dexter (thrifted via Beacon's)

You'll find salvation at the end of the track

Walking back to the subway station after the swap, we spotted these train tracks that were no longer in use. Naturally, Nickie and I, both took out our cameras and started snapping away. I love finding new locations to take my pictures; if only I was more adventurous to take out my tripod on the regular and use the nyc backdrops at my disposal. One day. The was a line up coming in and even around 5pm when we were leaving, the line was even longer. There was clothing, music, books, shoes, and even a rather odd little corner with boxes full of panties, scaves, and belts, odds and ends. Now, I'm not sure if you've ever been to a swap but the basis is: grab, then look. So as I grabbed away at anything that caught my eye, I barely had the time to look if it was even my size. Now that I'm home, I realize that the size 11/12...
