{Monday Mornings} Just a quick outfit post for you guys today {I feel like there's more and more of these happening these days} as I desperately need to catch up on some sleep. I've gone back to scheduling my posts, meaning I write them the night before I post them, just so I can have something up when all of you are waking up and drinking your morning coffee or tea. I'm just being considerate yes? And I appreciate every one of you that takes the time out of your day to read this blog. I certainly know how busy life gets but still, to have you guys come over here and see what I've got to say/wear, really means a lot. Monday mornings are never a time when I feel like dressing up for work. In order to avoid reaching for my jeans, I try to go for something casual without compromising style. How was everyone's weekend? Although mine started on a rocky note on Friday night, it turned around quite quickly and by Saturday night I was tearing it up on the dance floor with my most amazing friends. Honestly, if it wasn't for the tight knit group of ladies that I hang out with on a regular basis, I'd be a sad sap. When I bought these tights, I was hoping that they'd match the skirt a little better. You know, more of a monotone/chromatic look, but that's what happens when you don't prepare your outfit ahead of time and then have to run out the door. So I went with it anyways instead, going for a quirky kind of look. I also look a little like a pumpkin but a classy one none the less. Wearing white after labor day??!! Heck yeah. You know me, I like breaking the rules. Especially when they're silly ones like no white after labor day, or black and brown can't be worn together. Anywho, I think this is the first time that I have so many outfit pictures but no time to post them! Today was your typical Monday for me. I woke up groggy from a deep sleep, got ready, walked up the street only to have forgotten a bag of stuff I had to mail out, rushed back home to get it and so on... I had two coffees, but the second one wasn't good so its kind of still sitting on my desk at work. Gross right? Well, that's o.k. I was so busy getting stuff organized and mailing out some special little packages to some very great readers and friends that I had barely enough time to concentrate on cleaning up my work space. Lets just say I'm happy that tomorrow is Tuesday. I've been hesitant to put bright outfits together in fear of looking too young. Maybe it's the constant meeting of ladies my age in New York, clad in all black attire and sky scraper heels that makes me feel this way or maybe I'm just feeling old? I wasn't going to post this outfit today as for some reason I'm not all that excited about it. I kind of threw it on this morning and once I left the house I immediately regretted my outfit decisions. Does this happen to anyone else? I regretted my boot choice and should've gone with a flat, my tights seem way too bright, and the jacket, well I changed it right before stepping out of the house. Once I got home, I proceeded to upload the pictures and decided that it was selfish of me to not post today as there's really nothing wrong with the outfit itself and that it was more of my own personal feelings about it that was keeping me from posting.
