{For the Camera} Well two Sundays in a row now that I get to hang out with my favorite ladies! I am a happy gal. Here are some pictures form yesterday. We decided it was about that time to get together and have a proper Dusty Rose Vintage photoshoot! Oh man, these shoots are so much fun. Cocktails, chips, dips, and lots of Vintage clothing everywhere! These girls are a riot especially when you get us all together and make us do funny poses in front of the camera. Can't wait until the next one ladies! About two weeks ago, I headed over the to the Dusty Rose HQ and helped style all the looks before hand. This saved us sooo much time during the shoot. All outfits preplanned and coordinated. Now that we have a real life hairdresser in our midst, we took full advantage and all got our hurrs did. My first look! (thorugh the mirror). Are you ready for this?! This is probably one of my most favorite outfits ever! The sad part is that it's not even mine! Yup, I'm not the proud owner of those rusty orange scalop shorts, nor the geometric printed top that fits oh so well. This is one of the looks from our latest Dusty Rose Vintage photoshoot. It was so hot up on that roof, that I'm suprised at how well these turned out. I have alot more looks to show you but don't want you guys to be overloaded so I'll try and do just a little at a time. Since I don't have an outfit to post just yet, I thought I'd share with you another look from the DRV photoshoot. Unfortunately this hippie tunic has already sold, but I loved the whole airy look of this that I still wanted to post!   These pictures were taken in Prospect Park, here in Brooklyn. Now that the weather is somewhat calmed down and there's actual signs of Spring ahead, I can't wait to have more fun times, outdoor concerts and movies in this park. Oh yes, it'll be a great Summer. Finally, some looks from the Dusty Rose Vintage photo shoot! I've been meaning to post these for a while now but since I didn't have my camera with me that day, I've had to rely on a certain someone (cough cough, Nickie) to upload them for me, and well that hasn't happened yet. I really loved the dress that I ended up with as it truly fit and was a soft yellow color. Of course, the whole look is one of my faves as the picnic scene actually allowed us to eat mini pb &j sandwiches. I devoured most of them, I'm not ashamed to say. I'm obviously not a "real" model. I've been having the worst luck with my outfit shots lately that I can't even bring myself to post them. I'm not sure if it's due to the weather or a lack of time so they all seem rushed but whatever it is, it's got to stop! I am happy however to have some leftover shots from the Dusty Rose Vintage photoshoot. Yes, its still going... Can you believe that these were all taken in one day? That's what you get when you get three fashion loving ladies together in a room full of vintage clothes. Now, about this dress. I spotted it on one of my very first rounds at the studio. I never tried it on then because it seemed like it would be too big and well, I already had a bag full of goodies to play with anyways. But having this past shoot, I said, I need to try this on. It's a very strange city to move to when you're over the whole clubbing scene and are pretty much working full time and well, single. So having this group of girls to gab about clothing, blogging, broadway shows (yeah Nikka , that one's for you) is such a precious time for me. I know that sounds cheesy but it's honestly something that I look forward to all week. That said, we're all getting together tomorrow to pull some looks for yet another photoshoot and then some lunch, and after that...well who knows... this IS New Yor...

{the bridesmaids} Yes, and now for our little Pretty in Pink shoot ! I swear, this little studio in Williamsburg has it all. From retro mod, to glam 80's to pretty chiffon dresses, we came up with so many looks in one day that it's all becoming a little hazy. Here's us ladies playing it up all pretty in our pink dresses. I decided I'd show you the outakes, as clearly we're not models nor do we act like we are!! Yes, that dalmatian is back! Ok, 2 things, yes, that's a flamingo perched on top of my head. I found it in the studio and thought it'd make a great accessory. And second, those little black things behind me? they're clips as my dress was just a little too big for me. Us ladies, running out of poses to do. So we decide to take a break and just stand there looking pretty. Here are some more pictures from the photoshoot I did with Dusty Rose Vintage , Nickie and Nikka . This is what we called our Married to the Mob: A Widow's tale theme. Although I carry a more Wednesday Addams look than my other widow counterparts. I think I just have a hard time pulling off an all black look. It's definitely not me but I tried to look tough for the shoot. 1980's black cocktail dress Well that was until the dalmatian who belongs to someone at the studio decided to join us for the shoot. { one single picture } This is the only picture I was able to take of my outfit this morning. The one single snap. Not: " I had 10 to choose from and this is the only one that turned out" picture. The only one! The minute I stepped outside I was skeptical of rain but it wasn't raining...just yet. So I stroll out with my tripod, have time to set it up, then rain,huge drops of rain all at once. I had to quickly grab my tripod and get out of there, fast. So this is the awkward just take the picture, I can feel some drops and at any minute it's going to start pouring face. I will have pictures of the photoshoot I did with these ladies: Nickie, Nikka, Dusty Rose Vintage , up very soon. Trust me, my camera alone has over 200 pictures from that day so I can only imagine what the others have. So hopefully, I'll be posting those up sporadically over the course of this week.
