Florals & Stripes & Cupcakes


(Such a boring post title, but I really couldn't come up with anything better!)





The weather is surprisingly mild today, that I didn't really need the little green gloves but they matched so well with this new skirt that I wanted to get them in one picture! This is my attempt at mixing prints/florals together. I've been meaning to wear this skirt for a while but wanted to do something unexpected.

Like everyone else, I've been preparing for the holidays. I'm done my christmas shopping. I decided not to put up a tree this year (no time!). I have to start packing for yet another trip to Ottawa this weekend (I just unpacked my bag from my Vancouver trip yesterday). I'm debating on whether to bring my tripod and try to keep up this blog while I'm away. My posts may slow down a little, just a warning, but I'll be back before New Years.

Our office is having a little holiday get together on Thursday and I've decided to make cupcakes. The only problem is that I don't actually have any baking supplies! yikes. I think this calls for a Target run after work. I'm just hoping that its not too crazy...wishful thinking perhaps??? Anyways, what kind of cupcakes should I make? Does anyone have any favorites? Do tell!

Bleu et Pêche

{Blue & Peach} Yes, I'm still taking outfit pictures in my backyard. We were planning on moving this weekend but midway throught he week we found out that the tenant that is curerntly in the spot we're moving into wasn't planning on getting out until Monday. Who does that? Personally, I much rather move over the weekend than leaving it until a Monday but I guess not everyone is on a Monday to Friday schedule. So, instead I spent Saturday packing away, and Sunday went into the city with my man and strolled through Central Park, and stopped into the Met for a quick look. We had a delicious lunch at Candle cafe , another amazing vegan place in the city. This outfit is from last week but I didn't have time to post it until now. I like this color combination and the tights add a little texture since both top and skirt are solid. I usually like to mix it up with a least one print but this is keeping it a little more simple.
