Peaches & Cream
Introducing my latest Etsy purchase. I usually won't purchase vintage items on Etsy unless they're something really special (in this case) or really cheap. When I saw this cape for sale on Allencompanyinc shop, I ran into my boss' office, grabbed her measuring tape (I work in fashion) and started measuring my shoulder to hip. You see, shorty's and capes usually don't mix. For some strange reason everybody in the 50's and 60's had to have been over 5'7" or just liked really long dowdy clothing. When I discovered that this certain cape would fall right at my hip, I was sold and made the purchase right away. Although I did get some looks on the train/street today, I just made up in mind that they were all just jealous.
Last night I saw Alice in Wonderland and was pleasantly surprised! I know, I wasn't expecting it to be great but I wanted to see it since there's been so much hype about it. A few thoughts: I don't think it should've been in 3D. It was annoying and uneccessary. Johnny Depp was better than I thought. I was expecting him to be over-the-top annoying but he did a fantastic job. Alice does about 5-6 outfit changes and I loved every single one of them. Especially the one when she's in the Red queen's castle. Helena Bonham Carter's character was my absolute favorite! I don't want to give away too much so I'll stop at that.
