Style This: Vena Cava for Gap dress
I know I can always count on you guys to break me out of my funk. Just when I was saying that I wanted to add another feature to this blog, I received this email from one of my readers:
Hello!
I purchased this Vena Cava dress from Gap and I have no idea what to pair it with!I've seen people wear it by itself with black sandals but that is so boring. Any suggestions?
I think it is so much fun to put together an outfit starting with a single item. So I was definitely up for it! I put together a set including some items that I would pair with this dress. I just started a polyvore account and am still new to it all, so bare with me through the early stages. Hence, I don't know why the model in the dress is facing backwards and I can't flip her around!hehe.

Things to note:
The dress has a bohemian vibe to it, so I wanted to incorporate some browns, even though the neck detail is black, I think this is one of the instances where black and brown should be mixed together.
The touch of coral in the scarf makes it a little more fun and stands out against the neutrals.
This dress definitely needs accessories, so instead of a necklace, go for a chunky bracelet and simple earrings.
Either brown heels or slouchy boots would look great, depending on where/when you're wearing this (boots is alot more casual).
So what do you think? Could this be a new feature? Simply email me a link to the item that you are dying to wear but can't figure out how to wear it or even an item that you've worn but need new ideas on what to pair it with. I'll do my best to come up with a cute little set like this one and post it either every week, or two weeks or month, depending on how many submissions I receive. Cool?
