Market Publique x Modcloth collaboration


If you're familiar with Modcloth, you'll already know how coveted their vintage items are. As soon as one item is posted, it's sold out within minutes. So when I was approached by Pamela over at Market Publique about a super secret collaboration with the vintage loving company, I was intrigued at what exactly they had in mind.

Modcloth is teaming up with Market Publique to auction off 22 one of a kind vintage items starting Monday June 14th at precisely 7am! The online vintage auction website will have all items posted for 10 ten days for you to bid on. The great thing about this collaboration is that any money going over the minimum bid gets donated to Fashion Delivers, a non-profit org that donates clothing to victims of natural disasters. This is also the company that is hosting the Pay it Fashion Forward event on June 15th, in which I will be attending.

Now for the really exciting part, when I received the call from Pamela, she asked if I would model for their Summer lookbook featuring some of the Modcloth items! So of course, I jumped at the chance and then headed to the gym! Afterall, we're talking summer looks and bathing suits! Good thing I had about 1 month to get in shape. The shoot took place at Rockaway beach for the most part and all the looks were styled by Market Publique!  I haven't seen it all yet, but I'm heading over to Market Publique now to check it out!

Bleu et Pêche

{Blue & Peach} Yes, I'm still taking outfit pictures in my backyard. We were planning on moving this weekend but midway throught he week we found out that the tenant that is curerntly in the spot we're moving into wasn't planning on getting out until Monday. Who does that? Personally, I much rather move over the weekend than leaving it until a Monday but I guess not everyone is on a Monday to Friday schedule. So, instead I spent Saturday packing away, and Sunday went into the city with my man and strolled through Central Park, and stopped into the Met for a quick look. We had a delicious lunch at Candle cafe , another amazing vegan place in the city. This outfit is from last week but I didn't have time to post it until now. I like this color combination and the tights add a little texture since both top and skirt are solid. I usually like to mix it up with a least one print but this is keeping it a little more simple.
