Summer in the city

Although it's been really hot all weekend, by Sunday I was begining to really feel it. I think I ended up changing outfits about 4 times! Everytime I left the house or got back home I would be uncomfortable and needed to once again try another combination of light weight items. This was outfit numéro un, since I woke up early and headed to Trader Joes

The romper is originally from Kristin of Leproust vintage. It's been making the rounds with the Delightful Dozen ladies and I'm not sure where it'll end up next. It's such a fun piece! I was a little concerned of the shorts since they have an elastic hem but since they're long enough it didn't end up looking like a diaper, which is what I was afraid of. I really needed to wash my hair but since I was in a rush to get to TJ's before it got crazy busy (when is it not) I just wrapped it up in a scarf (courtesy of Clyde's Rebirth) and was out the door. I even pinned back my bangs which is something I NEVER do since I think my bangs have become my security blanket. Oh well, sometimes you just need to step out there!

After my errands, I washed my hair (finally), changed (no picture) and was off to have lunch with Kaelah from Little Chief Honeybee . I've been following her blog for a few months now and I was so happy to hear that she was in nyc for the summer. We chatted about blogs, tattoo's, the joys of finding an apartment in this city and whatever other random things that came to mind. She's just as sweet and kind as she seems from her blog. I'm really excited to get started on a little project that we talked about and will definitely share with you when it gets started. Until then, you'll just have to sit tight.
